With current market conditions putting pressure on exports from China, WW Ocean new liner service from Dalian in the northeast of the country to North America offers customers a reliable solution to meet their shipping needs.

Wallenius Wilhelmsen Ocean launched a new liner service from Dalian Port to North America

In October, Wallenius Wilhelmsen Ocean (WW Ocean) officially launched a new liner service from Dalian port in Northeast China to North America.

The company’s Asia to North America service already calls at Shanghai and Port Yantai in China, and the addition of Dalian port offers more opportunities for customers looking for cost-efficient and reliable solutions for shipping their products to key markets in the US and other destinations.

With two sailings a month offering a direct service from Dalian to the US East Coast and a transshipment connection to the US West Coast, customers exporting from China will benefit from WW Ocean shorter transit times and regular schedules.

For those looking to ship products to Europe and South America, this trade lane will open up further opportunity in the future on top of Tianjin as a port of loading offering a transshipment service from Masan.

"The opening of the Dalian to North America route is of great significance,” says JS Kim, VP Sales China. “It presents new business opportunities in North China which will add value for exports from the northeast and northern China. Customers will have more options with shorter waiting time and more frequent services to bring efficiency into their global supply chain network."
