The Istanbul-based shipyard Sanmar Shipyards and the German propulsion expert SCHOTTEL have signed a second framework agreement. It makes SCHOTTEL the exclusive supplier of drives for Sirapinar class tugs in the modernized Robert Allan design, which can now pull bollards up to 60 tons.

Sanmar Shipyards and SCHOTTEL strengthen cooperation with second framework agreement

"Sirapinar series with drive technology at the highest level."

"Our Sirapinar series will be able to respond very flexibly to the different requirements of our customers. At the same time, we want to guarantee the same high level of drive technology for any desired performance. That's why we decided to equip them exclusively with SCHOTTEL RudderPropellers type SRP 340, SRP 360 FP or SRP 430 FP, which enable a bollard pull of 40 to around 60 tons,” explains Hakan Tunç, Technical Director of Sanmar Shipyards.

“With the Sirapinar class tractor series, Sanmar and SCHOTTEL can now look back on around 20 joint projects on a partnership and successful collaboration. The joint cooperation goes back to 2004. We are very pleased that Sanmar is further expanding our trusting partnership against the background of this successful cooperation,” adds Seçkin Uz, Managing Director of SCHOTTEL Turkey.
