H2Carrier and Eurowind Energy join forces to make the marine fuel market greener Oslo, Hobro 31st March 2022:
H2Carrier AS and leading Danish developer and operator of renewable energy projects, Eurowind Energy A/S, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for developing low carbon fuels from wind and solar power.
The cooperation aims to enable e-Ammonia for the maritime sector, using intermittent and stranded European wind and solar PV-resources as feedstock for H2Carrier’s floating hydrogen and ammonia production and storage concept, the P2XFloater. The P2XFloater is the world’s first floating production unit for producing green ammonia at an industrial scale.
Eurowind Energy A/S is Denmark’s largest provider of onshore wind turbine projects and involved in both PV and wind turbine investments, with Germany, Denmark, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Bulgaria, United Kingdom and Southern Europe as their primary markets.
“We are excited to join forces with Eurowind Energy A/S with the aim of offering green ammonia to the industrial and marine fuel market. Eurowind Energy A/S has access to a primary market with +25.000km of coastline which, matched with the P2XFloater system, represents major opportunities for near shore production of low carbon fuels" says CEO of H2Carrier, Mårten Lunde.
Henrik Lykke Sørensen, Head of Strategic Business Development in Eurowind Energy commented as follows: ”H2Carrier’s innovative P2XFloater provides Eurowind with the opportunity for a fast-track development of renewable power resources and enable us to participate in the rapidly growing market for low carbon fuels. We are excited to engage with H2Carrier as partners in exploration of the opportunities for deployment of the P2XFloater technology.”
