On June 18, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (CHI) delivered the 11th converted FPSO Almirante Barroso MV32 for MODEC

FPSO Almirante Barroso MV32 delivered in CHI

The project was converted from a VLCC with a length of 332 meters, a width of 58 meters and a depth of 31 meters. It is one of the largest FPSO projects in the world to be put into production. 

It is designed to operate at a depth of 1,900 meters, with a storage capacity of 1.4 million barrels of oil, a daily processing capacity of 150,000 barrels of crude oil, a daily processing capacity of 212,000,000 cubic feet of natural gas, and a daily production capacity of 240,000 barrels of water injection. The final operation was in the Búzios. 

The project integrates production and treatment, storage and unloading, personnel residence and production command. It can operate continuously for 28 years without docking maintenance. Designed and built to the highest Brazilian technical standards, the accommodation can accommodate 160 people working and living at the same time.
