On June 29, 2022, PACIFIC TITAN, a 62,000 DWT multi-purpose heavy lift vessel, was delivered successfully 73 days ahead of time at China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Jiangsu) Co. Ltd. Its plan approval and survey were fulfilled by China Classification Society (CCS). The interested parties, including China Merchants Energy Shipping Co. Ltd., China Merchants Industry Holdings Co., Ltd. and CCS Jiangsu Branch, attended the ship delivery ceremony.

PACIFIC TITAN is No. 3 of the four 62,000 DWT multi-purpose heavy lift vessels built by the China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Nanjing) Co. Ltd. for Hong Kong Ming Wah Shipping Co., Ltd., and is classed by CCS solely.

The design of the “PACIFIC TITAN” series 62,000 DWT multi-purpose heavy lift vessels was led by Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and Research Institute (SDARI). The ship has a length 199.9 m, molded breadth 32.26 m, molded depth 19.0 m, design draft 11.30 m, and the design shipping speed 14.4 knots. With CFD hull line optimization design, the ship is equipped with five cargo holds and four portside cranes, having a linked lifting capacity up to 300 t. It can be loaded flexibly with multi-dimension heavy large equipment goods, pulp goods, various solid goods, etc.

The ship is also equipped with energy-saving environment-friendly devices, such as a large-diameter propeller and the G-type engine with a low rotation speed. Its efficiency index has reached the PHASE 3 of the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI), and its NOx emission conforms to the international standard of the Tier Ⅲ emission requirement; thus, it is a latest green, environment-friendly, cost-effective and energy-saving multi-purpose heavy lift ship.
