The joint venture shipyard Yangzi-Mitsui has been established for less than 3 years and has delivered nearly 30 ships in total, with more than 39 orders in hand.
The cooperation between Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group, the largest private shipping company in China, and Mitsui & Co., the largest consortium in Japan, is ushering in a harvest.
Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding has recently received orders for four 66,000-dwt bulk carriers. This is the first time Mitsui E&S has participated in the marketing activities of Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding.
According to sources, the order came from Singapore-based company JALDHI OVERSEAS, which is part of an Indian shipper.
