The world's first four-wheel-drive battery hybrid electric Ro-Ro ship, built by Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) for P&O Ferries, completed its sea trial on November 21.
The ship is 230.5 meters long, 30.8 meters wide, carrying 1,500 passengers. It adopts generator battery hybrid system, and is equipped with two pod thrusters fore and aft, which can realize two-way sailing.
The ship will travel between Dover and Calais. It will also be the world's largest double-ended Ro-Ro ship.
