On Feb 1, first of four 85,000 DWT bulk carriers built by China Shipbuilding Trading and CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Company Limited for Seacon Shipping Group Holding Limited were named and delivered in Nansha, Guangzhou.
The ship was named Seacon Nola.
Seacon Nola is first bulk carrier independently designed by Huangpu Wenchong, and also the largest bulk carrier independently developed by Guangdong Province.
The ship has a total length of 228.9m, a width of 36m, a depth of 20.15m, a design draft of 11.8m, a structural draft of 14m.
According to the data conducted by SSSRI and HSVA, the ship has good economy, low fuel consumption, high speed, large cabin capacity, can hold more food crops under the same draft condition, suitable for loading bulk cargo, including coal, ore, grain, cement and so on.
