The Jumbo-SAL-Alliance recently loaded three Tukan cranes onto the MV Lisa in Bremen, Germany, for discharge in the port of Haifa, Israel. These cranes will enhance the port's operations, providing improved lifting operations and port efficiency.
Dissembled into two parts each, the cranes total six units and weigh 1488 metric tons. With a maximum unit weight of 330 metric tons, including counterweights, the cargo occupies 30.256,23 cubic meters – equivalent to 10 Olympic-sized swimming pools.
When the shipment arrives in Haifa, our MV Lisa will unload and assemble the cranes on the pier, installing the machine houses on the 22-meter-high portals with her own cranes so that the port can put them to immediate use.
“We thank our experienced engineers, whose pre-planning made this low clearance operation possible, and our customers for allowing us to transport these cranes.”
