On March 10, Guangzhou Shipyard International, a subsidiary of CSSC, and China Shipbuilding Trading signed an order for three 7,000 CEU dual-fuel PCTCs with Guangzhou Yuanhai Automobile Shipping.

GSI won another order for 3 7,000 CEU dual-fuel PCTCs

This type of ship is the first time in China that shipowners and classification societies have adopted the CCS symbol design scheme for new energy vehicles to meet the increasing domestic demand for new energy vehicle exports.

Including the latest order, GSI has so far undertaken 22 orders for PCTCs, and has undertaken all orders for 2026, ranking first in the world.

In 2022, China's auto export volume exceeded 3 million and reached 3.111 million, up 54.4% year on year, far higher than the 2.4 million predicted by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, making China the second largest automobile exporter in the world after Japan.

In addition to the three ships signed this time, the total number of orders held by Yuanhai Automobile Shipping has reached 24 ships, which will be delivered and operated successively from the second half of 2024.
