The NewPriok Container Terminal 1 in Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital, is slowly but steadily taking shape, as shown in this video that was filmed by the government-owned Indonesia Port Corporations port operator.
Expectations are that the NewPriok Project is going to boost Jakarta’s port capacity by increasing the water depth of the port to 20 meters and thus enabling it to properly accommodate bigger and newer types of ships that go beyond the 10,000 TEU capacity range, and that currently not able to dock in Indonesia.
