In the early morning of June 29th, LPG tanker Navigator Aries collided with boxship Leo Perdana in waters of Karang Jamuang Island. The incident occurred some 20 nautical miles north of Surabaya, East Java.
Navigator Aries encountered 5-meter long breach on its left side, and a fire, which fortunately, was quickly extinguished.
The tanker was en route from Dermaga Gospier to Pelabuhan Kalbut, while the boxship was en route to Surabaya.
Four tugs were dispatched to the incident location.
Navigator Aries was anchored in position 06 59S 112 42E, about 10 nautical miles north of Gresik. Leo Perdana reached Surabaya under own power and was docked.
