According to reports by AEG Power Solutions, the company’s power solutions have been chosen by the Fincantieri S.p.A shipbuilder for securing all major loads applications onboard the ultra-luxury Seabourn Encore that is currently being built for Seabourn, a Carnival Corporation brand.

AEG Power Solutions has commented that a combination of DC (Protect TPR) and AC (Protect 4 and Protect 8) systems has been scheduled for delivery to Fincantieri later on in December of this year. They are going to provide the necessary electrical power supply for ship digital communications, automation, emergency diesel generator, public address safety system and low location lighting.

Power supply plays a major role when regarding onboard security.

Fincantieri has come out and stated that safety is going to be among the major features of the ship. It is to be constructed using the most cutting-edge technologies, the standards of which are going to exceed the relevant legislation’s requirements.

AEG Power Solutions comments that keeping in mind the technical challenge, Fincantieri chose it on the basis of its products’ high reliability and as they are perfectly suitable for the high-level requirements of the shipbuilder, more particularly the stable performance they manage to maintain while in harsh environments.

Seabourn Encore is going to become operational at 2016’s end. The all-suite vessel is going to be roughly 40,350 gross tons, have a length of 210 meters and a width of respectively 28 meters.
