The Mumbai-based Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd. signed a contract to sell its new-build bulker Jag Aakash.
The vessel is 81,600 dwt Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier, built at Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu) Inc. in the Philippines.

The bulker Jag Aakash is expected be delivered to the company between the end of August and the beginning of September 2015 and soon afterwards it will be delivered by the company to the new buyers.
The current fleet of Great Eastern Shipping includes 30 vessels: 21 tankers (12 product tankers, 8 crude carriers, 1 LPG carrier) and 9 dry bulk carriers (4 Kamsarmax and 5 Supramax). The vessels average age is 9.6 years, aggregating 2.36 million dwt.
