The vessel measures 199.9 meters in LOA (length of all), 32.26 meters in breadth and 18.5 meters in depth.
Lomar Shipping took delivery of two 64,000 dwt bulkers from Cosco in 2015, and has three more of these Ultramaxes slated for delivery in 2017.
These Ultramax bulk carriers have been designed to carry up to 11% more cargo than conventional Supramaxes whilst consuming around 13% less fuel, according to Lomar.
In February 2012, Lomar inked an order with Cosco for up to six Ultramaxes of the ‘Dolphin’ design introduced by Chinese design institute SDARI (Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and Research Institute).
