A video footage, posted on YouTube on Monday (Dec 7), afternoon shows several offshore vessels fighting the fire aboard the Socar-operated Gunashli 10 platform in the Caspian Sea which burst into flames on Friday (Dec 4).

The video above has been shared by the Azeri ministry of emergency situations.

The firefighting efforts had been hampered by harsh weather during the weekend, however, according to the video above, the weather seems to have improved.

The accident happened Friday after a gas pipeline was damaged in a heavy storm. According to available information, seven people died in the incident, while 23 remain missing.
