September 27 marked the naming ceremony of the second of four state-of-the-art ultra-long distance towing and offshore newbuildings, ALP Defender.
The event took place in Chiba, Japan where members of the ALP team and her godmother Caroline Steenbergen gathered to celebrate.
ALP Defender is approximately 88.90 meter long and have a deadweight of 4250 tonnes. The vessel has a fuel capacity of 3,500 MT, sufficient for non-stop Trans-Atlantic/Indian, Pacific Ocean towing operations without fuel calls.
