The shipowner Torghatten Nord has two further identical ferries being built at Vard Brevik.

All five ferries will be delivered during the second half of 2018, and they will all operate at the busy Halhjem-Sandvikvåg route in Western Norway.

The ferries will be equipped with a gas-electric hybrid propulsion system. The battery system will be arranged with capability for fast charging from shore. A major effort has been put in to design energy-efficient hull lines and systems onboard, as well as good sea-keeping and manoeuvering capabilities.
